Yosemite National Park is probably one of the most beautiful places on Earth, but look at this mess. From a distance all those people going up the cables of Half Dome look like a bunch of pesky ants. If it's come to this, I'm done with the valley. Admittedly, I've avoided Yosemite valley for years for this exact reason, but I didn't know it was this bad.
I'm happier in Kings Canyon, which John Muir described as "a rival to the Yosemite". I guess they called it "the Yosemite" back in his day. John Muir was right, Kings Canyon rocks. Yosemite = tourons. Kings Canyon = bliss. Oh, did I say that out loud?
